The Tirshatha – Nehemiah the Wall Builder

In 2011studies, the years of Darius are what we are, with joy, following at the present time. The command to work by God is given to all believers as 2013-2014 (Nisan to Nisan) is the mirror of the 2nd year of Darius. The command to work to bring the gospel is now center stage. Even into the 3rd year and onward of Darius’ years, this command continues by God. Keep in mind though that the rebuilding of the temple was in Darius’ six year which is our 2018! More video studies on this topic are on the Youtube channel called 2011studies (one word).

Since the last video review of 2011 and onward, which was posted December of 2013, questions have arisen concerning the wall of Jerusalem and Nehemiah’s rebuilding of the ruin. How does that relate to the six years of Darius since the house of God was completed in the sixth year of Darius? I want to present something which may give some insight to the rebuilding of Jerusalem:

Nehemiah petitioned King Artaxerxes concerning the ruins of Jerusalem.

The place where Nehemiah’s fathers were buried was still in ruin. The King granted free passage to Nehemiah to go observe his homeland. Nehemiah was the king’s cupbearer. This entire event began as he brought the king his cup and the king noticed the sadness of Nehemiah. Nehemiah places a request to the King that he would like to be allowed to go to Judah unto the city of his father’s burial place and repair the damages. Nehemiah was given a set time to go and requested two things of the King.

  • He wanted safe passage and letters sent forth before him to allow for safe passage until he reached Judah.
  • He also wanted a letter to go to Asaph who was keeper of the kings forest. Nehemiah was requesting this for wood/timber for the gates of the palace which led to the house, for the wall of the city, and also for Nehemiah’s personal house to dwell in while the building/repair took place.

This conversation with the King took place in the 20th year of King Artaxerxes. There are three kings mentioned which related to the rebuilding of God’s House and the wall.

Ezra 6:14: And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

  • Cyrus first issued the decree to build the house after the 70-year captivity of Israel (Ezra 5:13).
  • Opposition came and the work was halted until the second year of Darius (Ezra 4:24).
  • Ezra was given permission by Artaxerxes to go up from Babylon to Jerusalem to establish the law and to teach statutes and judgments. This was in the 7th year of Artaxerxes (Ezra 7).
  • Nehemiah petitioned King Artaxerxes to go to Jerusalem and examine the damage. This was in the 20th year of Artaxerxes (Nehemiah 2).

With this information we can know that: From Ezra going to Jerusalem to establish the law in the 7th year of Artaxerxes unto Nehemiah arriving at Jerusalem in the 5th month of the 20th year of Artaxerxes, there is a period of 13 years.

In 2011studies we have been carefully going through the years of Darius since these six years historically began according the accession year system once God gave the Babylonian kingdom to the Mede and Persian. We have seen how the 6th year of Darius falls within the year 2018 in the month Adar. This is when the temple rebuilding was completed.

Now a question has been raised concerning the rebuilding of Nehemiah’s wall since that appears to be historically past the 6th year of Darius. Should we be concerned that it was in the fifth month of the 20th year of King Artaxerxes that Nehemiah petitioned the king to go to Jerusalem and examine the damage?

Everything in the Bible is there for our instruction and coming to understanding with God’s help.  There are times in which God does not follow history precisely in a set order. We learned this with the Great Affliction of this final seven years-2011 to 2018. Historically, that came before Israel’s captivity. Joseph and Jacob’s account in Egypt came before the 70-year captivity of Israel. Yet, at the time of the end, God places the 8,400 days of tribulation, which mirrors the 840 months of Israel’s captivity, from 1988 to 2011. Then the Great Tribulation of 7-years comes immediately after the 8,400 days and goes from 2011 to 2018.

Matthew 24:21: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

This allowed for the time of rebuilding to come after the 8,400 days. The spiritual aspect is that God continues to save the “living stones” who worldwide make up the house of God past the 8,400 days which ended May 21, 2011,

1 Peter 2:5: Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Unto the Coming of The Lord

We also have seen how Elijah’s 3 ½ years of no rain fits the first part of the final 7-year period. Elijah prayed again and God gave the rain. This really lines up with Jesus proclaiming that the time of Great Tribulation will be shortened for the sake of the Elect. This is great news since we are reaching a duplication of Pentecost in the year 2015. For the remaining 3 1/2 years God and His Word will be magnified in a great way. Matthew 24 not only speaks of the shortening of the Great Tribulation but also the latter half where the Gospel goes into all the world as a witness unto the nations then the end will come. Christ is coming in power and great glory 7007 years past the flood in 4990 BC. We have learned that the reason 7,000 years past the flood (2011) was not the timing of His powerful coming on the last day because God is longsuffering not willing that any would perish (2 Peter 3). Jesus makes known that He has shortened the days of Great Tribulation for those whom He plans to save.

Matthew 24:22: And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

This truth matches the fact that Satan is only given a time, times and half or 3 ½ years to fulfilled the last end of the indignation. Since Jezebel historically was pursuing Elijah and with her husband Ahab, as she brought false worship to Samaria, I suspect that this “great tribulation” would be affecting the fallen houses of God where false worship is taking place. The warning by Christ to the church of Thyatira is still in effect today since the last seven years are the time of Great Tribulation.

Revelation 2:18-22: And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19: I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20: Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21: And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

Revelation 22: Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The Lord is drawing from historical Jezebel and Ahab’s false worship of Baal and how she “killed the prophets of God.” Therefore, if the houses of God become involved in false worship, Great Tribulation will come to the fallen houses of God.

1 Kings 16:30-33:  And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him. 31: And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. 32: And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 33: And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

False Worship produces a hate for the truth and famine in the land–Samaria is the example.

1Kings 18:2-4: And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria. 3: And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly: 4: For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

God sends a famine in the land of the hearing of His Word–Compare to Samaria:

Amos 8:11-14: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 12: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. 13: In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. 14: They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

The Reversal Comes when God is Magnified

In Joel 2, God promises that He will remove the Northern, and God will be the One who is magnified. I am finding that God has really concentrated much detail of prophecy within these final seven years. Even the glory of Moab being contemned or despised has a time frame of “within three years.” The glory of Kedar failing is within another year. God is using past history of Moab and Kedar to show how the glory of the fallen houses of God will come in the next coming years.

So what about Nehemiah’s wall? Will the Lord wait until we mirror the period of the rebuilding of the wall? We know that Nehemiah was allowed to leave his duties as the King’s cupbearer to go into Jerusalem and assess the damages and to begin rebuilding the wall. The completion of the wall only took 52 days. There is something I have been studying which makes me think that God will perform a “short work” or short word (logos) due to the evil thoughts of Satan. What am I speaking of?

Unwalled Villages–“Gog” Knows when God’s Houses Dwell Safely: The Spiritual Possibilities of the Protection of the Walls

Ezekiel 38:1: And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2: Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3: And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

In the book of Ezekiel, God speaks of a time in the latter years where “Gog,” who is an historical figure and typed as a picture of Satan, thinks an evil thought:

Ezekiel 38:10-12: Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12: To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Perhaps Satan, who knows and understands “Dark Sayings” or God’s Word, attempts a strike against the houses of God who lay open and unwalled. Perhaps Satan knows of the historical building of Nehemiah’s wall and how waiting for time to pass would place a restriction on his ability to desolate. His evil thought is to destroy. Remember also that God gives a real stern warning of a time when God removes Himself and the protection that was once there is no longer there:

Hosea 9:12: Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Satan’s evil thought is to go up against those who dwell safely–all of them dwelling without walls, having neither bars nor gates. Historically, we can know that this language of walls and bars and gates was for the purpose of having “rest” on every side. It was a real sense of security:

2Ch 14:6-7: And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest. 7: Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

In Nehemiah’s time, the walls, bars, and gates were repaired in certain areas:

Nehemiah 3:13: The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate.

The Earth is at Rest and quite – Is this “quite” Idleness?

When Satan comes against those who dwell in unwalled villages (also a picture of Haman seeking to destroy the Jews in the book of Esther), he comes against those who are at rest. The Jews had victory over the evil which came against their unwalled towns, but only because God performed a great reversal through the work of Mordecai and Esther.

Esther 9:19: Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

There are a couple verses which mention this same word for “quite.” In one verse this “quite” is after the 70-year captivity of Israel. In another verse, the idleness or quietness of Sodom is a picture of the fallen houses of God since God refers to “Mystery Babylon” as Sodom and Egypt.

Ezekiel 16:49: Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

The 70-years relate to the 8,400 days. Is the world “quite” or idle after the grand announcement of Christ coming in 2011? Have the houses of God (Sodom and Egypt) become “quite” or idle after the year 2011?

Zechariah 1:11-13: And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. 12: Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? 13: And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

We know the good and comfortable words have everything to do with God prospering His salvation plan in the final years. However, that does not change Satan’s evil thought to come up against those who dwell safely and are at rest/quite/idle. God must intervene. When God intervenes there is a great shaking in the land and the nations will know.

Satan (Gog) comes against God’s Land

Ezekiel 38:14-16: Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15: And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Since we are in the mirror of the 2nd year of Darius (Nisan 2013 to Nisan 2014), should we be concerned about the timeline of Nehemiah’s wall being rebuilt in 52 days and years later? Yes and no. Yes, because historically it was a picture of the protection God provides with His salvation plan. I would however suggest no also in regards to any extra years past the final seven years because of the evil thought in which Satan (pictured as historical Gog) comes up against the houses of God which dwell without gates. Thus, God will perform His short work of salvation.

There is a very real spiritual truth concerning salvation itself being the walls of the strong city. Furthermore, we know that God will perform a short work (Logos) on earth. So then, many years past the 6th year of Darius may not even be realized. The following verses speak of God’s short work and also the spiritual aspect of what the walls represent:

Romans 9:28: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

In the book of Daniel, righteousness is also mentioned and also the command to “know therefore.” We are to know that righteousness will be victorious and the street and the wall will be built even in troubled times. We are now living in the troubled time of the last seven years of great affliction where Christ told us to pray that our flight be not during this time. The flight being the fleeing out of the fallen houses of God where desolation has come. Yet, even during the troubled time, God is building His wall of salvation.

The Spiritual Wall of Salvation

Psalm 51:15-18: O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. 16: For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. 18: Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 60:18: Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

Zechariah 2:4-5: And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 5: For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Isaiah 26:1-4: In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. 2: Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. 3: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4: Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Isaiah 26:5: For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

If Nehemiah and associates built the wall in 52 days, what will God do during His Short Work (Logos) as the gospel goes forth into all the world?

Ezra – The Teacher of Statutes and Judgments

Much like Nehemiah, the historical actions of Ezra play an incredible role for the time of the end. If fact, the very act of God placing His Spirit inside a new believer in Jesus makes the new believer aware of His statutes and judgments. Ezra was commanded by King Artaxerxes to go to Jerusalem and teach the people God’s statutes and judgments. These statutes and judgments relate to life and salvation. First is the history lesson of Ezra traveling to Jerusalem:

Ezra 7:8-10: And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king. 9: For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him. 10: For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

Malachi 4:4-6: Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5: Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Ezekiel 36:24-28: For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25: Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27: And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28: And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Psalm 147:19-20: He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. 20: He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

As Nehemiah (20th yr. of Artaxerxes) built the wall in 52 days, it was the larger picture of God building the wall of Salvation in the final years as it is proclaimed to be a short work or short Word (Logos). What is the end result of God’s action and protection? Many will experience salvation worldwide prior to Christ’s return in power and great glory.

As Ezra went to Jerusalem in the 7th year of Artaxerxes to teach statutes and judgments, so to in the final years will God place His Spirit upon people and cause them to walk in His statutes and judgments.

I would like to close this study with the example of the honesty of Nehemiah as he openly admitted the error of not keeping God’s statutes and judgments and the result of the punishment of scattering.

Nehemiah 1:5-9: And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: 6: Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned. 7: We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. 8: Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: 9: But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

God gave His statutes and judgments to Moses so the Israelites may enter into the land He promised and live!

Deut. 5:31-33: But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it. 32: Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. 33: Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

And to life, which Christ gives more abundantly, I say Amen!

2011 Onward-7 Points of Study

©2011studies Publications- Marty Cattuzzo

Why the years 2013, 2014 and 2015 are very important years in God’s timeline

At the onset of this study, it is extremely important to understand that God uses Biblical history to illustrate not only the kingdom of Jesus Christ but also the kingdom of Satan. In Hosea 12, God mentions that He uses similitudes or likenesses. The following are some examples of some similitudes that God used in His Word:

  • Ezekiel lies on one side for 390 days according to the years of iniquity of the House of Israel, and then he lies for 40 days on the other side for the sin of Judah, according to Judah’s years. Ezekiel became the similitude or likeness of Israel and Judah.
  • Jeremiah became the picture of captivity under iron stocks which represented the tribulation periods of the end.
  • God calls Lucifer the King of Babylon in Isaiah 14 (ISA uses son of the dawn).
  • God calls Cyrus my shepherd in Isaiah 44.
  • God also uses Zerubbabel as the one who historically laid the foundation of the temple.
  • Likewise, Jesus being the chief cornerstone in the spiritual house of God, also lays the foundation of His eternal house in which believers are built up as lively stones.

Similitudes and patterns are an ongoing truth in God’s Word, and when we study the timing of Christ’s return on the last day, we must acknowledge that this is the method in which God has chosen. God has chosen historical patterns to show us what will transpire near the end. This is very exciting because God, as we will soon understand, doubles the prophecy of blessed is he that waits and comes to the 1335th day.

Historical patterns and God establishing similitudes also answers the big question of why some prophecies seem to be speaking of fulfillment during the time of Christ in 33 A.D., yet also within those prophecies there is mention of the time of the end. If those who study God’s Word do not acknowledge that God has written His Word this way, then conclusions of “it has already been fulfilled years ago” will be the answer when truths from God’s Word are presented.

Hosea 12:10: I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

The years following the 7,000th year anniversary of the flood-2011 A.D.

1.  The 153 Days of the year 2011

The 8,400 days which ended on May 2011 (also 276 months) was a significant marker in history. Even so, the 153 days from May 21, 2011 to October 21, 2011 was also significant. This could have been a time of catching of great fish, but also a start time to really focus on the feeding His sheep and lambkins (newly saved).

This was illustrated previously by the interaction of Jesus and Peter. The question was asked by Jesus Do You love me? Peter replied yes three times. The Lord replied back to Peter three times: Feed my lambkins once and feed my sheep twice.

I believe since the important timing of the year 2011, this has been an ongoing process as God is revealing more and more information through the study of His Word. It is our responsibility as fellow believers to share with others what God’s Word is declaring. We share this information with both those believers already established in truth, and also those recently saved by God’s Spirit. We do this with the love God has given us.

The Greek words for love are – G25 Agapaō and G5368 Phileō. Agapao (G25) is mentioned 1 John 4:21:

1John 4:21: And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also.

We love God as we study His Word, always asking for wisdom and understanding; once understanding is given by God, we then share the information with fellow believers out of love for our Lord and love for each other. Thus, we will have a keen desire to feed God’s sheep (believers previously saved by God’s Spirit) and also feed His lambkins (newly saved by God’s Spirit.)

If we look closely at Peter’s life, we see one who was willing to drink the cup (willing to give up His life) and willing to share with others at Pentecost concerning the Son of Perdition and what exactly had transpired. This task will be huge in the coming years of 2014, 2015 and onward. Why? Because God will be saving by His Spirit a great many people worldwide. Many people will need to know this information.

The responsibility of this task is both great and exciting. According to the book of Daniel, God has given the task to consume and destroy the Kingdom of Satan once judgment sits (more presented at 2011studies on this topic). This will be done by the Word of God going forth into the entire world as a witness unto the nations just prior to Christ coming on the last day.

If we truly love God we will also love our fellow believers, which brings us to the next item in this study.

2. What Paul understood about God’s longsuffering

In the year 2011, the announcement of Jesus coming in power and great glory was proclaimed worldwide. This was truly an amazement to see such an announcement go worldwide and so quickly. The information found in 2 Peter 3 did seem to indicate that 7,000 years from the flood in 4990 B.C. to 2011 A.D. was highly significant.

After October 21, 2011 passed, I began re-studying 2 Peter 3. I really believe this grand worldwide announcement of Christ’s return was allowed in order for God’s Word to be fulfilled. A worldwide mocking had to come stating: Where is the promise of His Coming? The mocking came; however, 2 Peter 3 reveals so much more.

Peter, under God’s Holy Spirit, instructs us to look at what Paul understood concerning God’s patience or longsuffering. So we need to begin looking at all verses in which Paul’s epistles spoke of longsuffering. Let’s look at these verses first starting with 2 Peter 3’s instructions to all believers:

The word we are focusing on in the following two verses is longsuffering: G3114-makrothumeō:

2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:15: And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you…

The following verses are examples of what Paul understood about God’s longsuffering:

1Timothy 1:15: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

1Timothy 1:16: Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Peter is directing us to Paul’s understanding of God’s longsuffering. Paul obtaining mercy from Jesus Christ allows us to understand how Paul became the pattern of God’s longsuffering for those people hereafter who would believe on Him unto life everlasting. Within the context of the flood and the promise of Jesus’ coming, we can know that we are in a period of God’s longsuffering for the sake of salvation of God’s elect worldwide.

What else did Paul know? God’s longsuffering allows for time in which people can come to repentance and salvation. We can never, ever despise this attribute and kindness of the Lord. Anyone of us could have been the people near the timing of Christ coming, who will still yet experience God’s forbearance and salvation by His Sprit. We should be happy God is longsuffering and always be willing to work toward the presentation of the good news of Jesus Christ.

Romans 2:3: And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Romans 2:4: Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

With God giving understanding of His longsuffering (patience), we can better understand why 2 Peter 3 declares that God is not willing that any of His elect will perish. This is why Peter pointed us to the pattern of Paul being the first example of God’s longsuffering. That is a major clue in 2 Peter 3 that we should have understood in 2011 concerning the glorious return of Jesus on the last day.

In Paul’s letter to the Romans, we see yet once again how it is God’s will to show both His power and mercy according to His Word. Again, Peter, under the inspiration of God’s Spirit, was pointing us to the wisdom God gave Paul for our instruction during this precise time in history. Romans 9 is filled with the great promise of God saving people who were not His people. We are seeing how God’s longsuffering is underscored for a very good reason:

Romans 9:21: Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Romans 9:22: What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

Romans 9:23: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Romans 9:24: Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Romans 9:25: As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Paul was the pattern whom the Lord used first to show His longsuffering for those who would later believe on Jesus unto life everlasting. This is why we passed the year 2011 at the 7,000th anniversary of the flood.

3.  God hides His face due to sin and relates it to the waters of Noah

In studying the events concerning 2011 at the 7,000th year anniversary of the flood in 4990 B.C., God mentions in Isaiah 54 that He hid his face for a little while. In other passages, such as Deuteronomy and the Psalms, this language is due to Israel worshipping false Gods and even individual sin such as David’s. David was in trouble or tribulation:

Psalm 69:17: And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

Psalm 69:18: Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

Psalm 69:19: Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

I believe the mocking which came after May 21, 2011 (anniversary of the flood) and October 21, 2011 (last day of the Feast of Tabernacles) was predicted in 2 Peter 3, but also, God hiding His face for a little while seemed related to this time. Since God hid His face with Israel, it shows how God, being righteous and holy, turns away in anger from the sin of His people:

Deuteronomy 31:17: Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?

Deuteronomy: 31:18: And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

False worship will be judged. Money corrupting the houses of God, people seeking lying sings and wonders, mega churches teaching prosperity gospels and not the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ will experience many evils and tribulation.

I believe the believers who have departed out of the churches experienced the tribulation of the 8,400 days first, and then comes the last end of the indignation during the Great Tribulation where Satan causes complete desolation during this time (the time, times and half time: 2011 to 2015).

During certain times of judgment, God hides His face. Yet, there are examples in the Bible of this judgment being only a little while and then comes a reversal.

4.  God commands His people to be fruitful and multiply after stepping off the ark

Being fruitful and multiplying can relate to salvation itself. In Leviticus 6, God lays out two examples: One is of blessing and multiplying IF God’s people keep His commandments. The other is terror, consumption and sorrow of heart. God even allows the enemy to rule over those who do not hearken to His commandments and words.

As believers, we can either depart out of the fallen houses of God by obeying His commandment to come out of her my people or remain where false worship is taking place as Satan takes his seat of authority. The first option is God blessing and multiplying. I believe we are at that critical time in history where God’s Word must be followed or evil/trouble/tribulation/sorrow of heart will come on those who do not obey His commands.

Zechariah 10 opens with ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain. In my studies, I have seen how rain can relate to the gospel and the understanding of God’s Word. During the next couple of years, and especially prior to Pentecost 2015, I believe understanding from God’s Word will come to many who are seeking His wisdom and understanding. They will be thirsty for God’s word of truth. Zechariah 10 states that an increasing or multiplying will take place:

Zechariah 10:8: I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

Zechariah 10:9: And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

5.  God most definitely interchanges historical figures such as the King of Babylon to represent the kingdom of Satan

Isaiah 14:4: That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, how hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Satan is the oppressor. In the prophecy of Isaiah concerning Christ, we learn that Jesus was oppressed. In Isaiah 14, God further elaborates on Lucifer (son of the dawn) who did weaken the nations.

Isaiah 14:12: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14:13: For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:14: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isaiah 14:15: Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Satan desires worship and this is clearly seen during Jesus’ 3 ½ year ministry as Satan took Jesus to the pinnacle of the temple. Another illustration is how the house of worship of Jesus’ day had become the house of merchandise. Jesus showed His compassion for His Father’s house by expelling the money changers. This repeats during the time of Great Tribulation as Satan attempts to be like the Most High within the fallen houses of God until the time comes when The Lord, yet once again, overthrows the fallen houses of God:

Ezekiel 21:26: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

Ezekiel 21:27: I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

6.  Why does God mention the years of Darius in great detail?

The following is one important truth concerning the time we are all living. Historically, when Belshazzar saw the infamous writing on the wall, that very night he died and the Babylonian kingdom was given by God into the hands of the Mede (Darius) and Persian (Cyrus). Why would this be significant for today?

It is significant today because in the past years we have seen how the 840 months (70 years) of Israel’s captivity into Babylon related to the 8,400 days from May 21, 1988 to May 21, 2011. Remember that God uses historical illustrations to show us where we are in the Biblical calendar of history.

Mr. Camping did some great Bible study work on the 8,400 days. Unfortunately, not many were asking what happened historically after the 70-year captivity of Israel. If this question had been asked, we would have seen how the years of Darius following the date of May 21, 2011 would have been extremely important in understanding God’s longsuffering and also His command to work for He is with us.

Perhaps God did not want this revealed yet. After all, the mocking of 2 Peter 3 had to come to pass. The time of rebuilding of God’s spiritual house (worldwide salvation) is from the 2nd Year of Darius right up to the 6th year of Darius. Using the Accession-year system (when a ruler’s official year of his reign begins), we can only conclude now that we are in the mirror or similitude of the 2nd Year of Darius in this present year 2013.

During this time God promises that He is with us, He commands us to work and blessing will follow. November 27, 2013 was the day and month in which God proclaims: from this day will I bless you. For us, this means that more and more believers in Jesus Christ will understand God’s plan and be willing to work on the task of bringing the good news worldwide and God will bless our work.

The exact replica of the years of Darius and how they relate from 2011 to 2018 will be diagrammed on the web site: and also this blog, ( which will be linked to the web site. Our goal is to help fellow believers worldwide understand why seven years past 2011 is very important in God’s calendar of the end, just prior to Christ’s return in power and great glory on the last day.

7.  How a seven-year period fits so well as the final years of history

In the past couple years of study and posting video studies, I have been amazed how many Biblical topics see fulfillment within the years from 2011 to 2018. Here I want to focus on two of these topics. Again, much greater detail can be studied through the video studies or the web site.

Job and Elijah

This first topic has to do with Job and Elijah. Unto the coming of the Lord we are instructed to look to both Job and Elijah. Why Job? Job was an example of patience as he underwent the attack by Satan. The activity of Satan amps up during the first half (3 ½ years) of the final 7 years.

Why Elijah? Elijah was also persecuted by Jezebel (who is mentioned in the book of Revelation). Elijah prayed for no rain where false worship was for 3 ½ years. He prayed again and God sent rain and the fruit came forth. These two men are our examples of what transpires unto the coming of the Lord.

James 5:7: Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

James 5:17: Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

James 5:18: And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

I believe sincerely that the precious fruit of salvation will be brought forth worldwide in a huge way from 2015 onward. God eventually blessing Job double and also God giving rain in accordance to Elijah’s prayer shows that God is being magnified.

Why will 2015 be a time of great worldwide salvation?

This second topic has to do with Blessed is he that waits and comes to the 1,335th day. Is it at all possible that God will be repeating Pentecost 33 A.D. in our time? In other words, does Blessed is he that waits and comes to the 1,335th day apply twice in history, occurring both in the year 33 A.D. and the year 2015 A.D?

We know from history that during Christ’s 3 ½ year ministry, He was casting out devils and performing many good works; also, the temple had become a house of merchandise. It appears then that the 3 ½ years from 29 A.D. to 33 A.D. was very similar to our 3 ½ years from 2011 to 2015.The activity of desolation appears present in both accounts. Satan is very active during both times in history.

How do the feast celebrations fit within both accounts? The following is why we believe God will be repeating Pentecost worldwide in the year 2015. Mr. Camping presented a very good study of the 1,335 days of Daniel. However, was that the only time in which God will be blessing after a 1,290 days of desolation? The answer should surprise us all:

The following dates line up precisely to the very day:

  • Trumpets- 9-28-29 A.D. to Pentecost 5-24-33 A.D. = 1,335 days
  • Trumpets- 9 28-2011 A.D. to Pentecost 5-24-2015 A.D. = 1,335 days

Prior to Christ going to the Cross, He prays that the Father’s name would be glorified. In studying God’s Word, I have seen that when judgment falls, God is magnified or glorified:

John 12:27: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

John 12:28:Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

The ISA says: I glorify and again I shall be glorifying. I believe twice in history when God’s judgment falls, first at the time of the cross (33 A.D.) and then at 2015 when the fallen houses of God experience judgment, God will be glorified. Are there any other verses which proclaim this? Yes, Joel 2 speaks of a time where God will remove the Northern (a title for Satan) who did great things, and then God will do great things (be magnified).

Satan does not have the final stage, God does. God only allows Satan the last end of the indignation (times, times and half time), which I really believe is the first part of the final seven years (2011 to 2015). Then judgment falls on the houses of God, God removes the Northern and a time of blessing follows for the believers in Christ:

Joel 2:19: Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

Joel 2:20: But I will remove far off from you the northern, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

Joel 2:21: Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

Joel 2:22: Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

Joel 2:23: Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

The rain (understanding of God’s Word to bring forth fruit) will be craved by those whom God will be saving. It will be a thirst for the Word of God like never before. Here is one verse which illustrates this truth (Job’s parable):

Job 29:23: And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

Wisdom and understanding of God’s Word is a real blessing and comfort. No matter how dark the time we have all lived through (Tribulation of 8,400 days) or (Great tribulation of the final seven years), God’s Word stands firm that Jacob will be saved out of great tribulation. Jacob (Israel) represents all believers in Christ. We are the Israel of God.

Conclusion: In 2011 the world experienced the grand announcement of “Christ is returning.” Those people who chose to mock did so not knowing that God is longsuffering. The very mocking was a direct fulfillment of 2 Peter 3 in which it was foretold that some people will be proclaiming: Where is the promise of His coming?

The believers in Jesus know that His Word is truth; we therefore continue to study and ask for wisdom. God honors His promises and reveals more concerning the following:

  1. The years of Darius
  2. After the 70 years
  3. God’s longsuffering is for the sake of salvation
  4. The last end of the indignation (3 1/2 years ending in 2015)
  5. God’s promise of fear not land as He performs a reversal and then HE is magnified
  6. Good and comfortable words after the historical 70-year captivity
  7. 1,335 days of Daniel occurs twice in history.

A great time of worldwide salvation is before us. We are commanded to work in the 2nd Year of Darius for God is with us. Elijah and Job are historical illustrations as we wait patiently unto the coming of the Lord. All of these examples have important time references. We need to focus on the historical patterns set before us in God’s Word in order to understand where we are in His timeline.

I would like to close this shortened synopsis of where we are in history (according to God’s Word) with a request for believers to study God’s Word. Too many people will rest on one verse that is merely read and not studied. One such verse is of that day and hour knoweth no man.

In order to understand a difficult verse we must break down each individual word: day, hour and knoweth. Then we also look how this verse reads in the ISA. Below is how the ISA reads:

About yet the day that- and the hour- no one has perceived not yet the messengers- the- in heaven- not yet the son if no (not) the Father.

We know from previous verses that there is an order in which revealing takes place. This shows Jesus subjecting Himself to the Father and to the Father’s will. If not for the Father revealing truths, there is no one who can understand these Biblical truths. We also must try to understand not yet the Son. Surely, Jesus sitting at the right hand of God and in power knows of the day and hour.

Matthew 11:27: All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Some people, especially in the churches really will struggle with the idea that God would be revealing through His Word concerning the timing of Christ’s coming. The mantra of no man knows the day and hour coming from the leaders in the houses of God really shows they will not know the timing of their own judgment.

We also must look at early believers. Did Daniel have a keen desire to know about the things of the end? The answer is yes and understanding was granted to him. Did the disciples have a keen desire to know about the sign of Jesus coming and the end of the world (age)? The answer is absolutely yes! Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 show this desire of the early believers.

Did Jesus go into detail concerning the things which would transpire prior to His coming on the last day? Again, yes. When real desolation begins in the next couple of years within the houses of God, the nations will know God is judging with vengeance. Historical Moab was brought low because of pride. God uses Moab as one historical example of what will happen to the fallen houses of God in 2014 and 2015.

Isaiah 16:14: But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

Isaiah 21:16: For thus hath the Lord said unto me, within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

I personally believe it will take this kind of judgment and the removing of all glory within the houses of God for more people to understand how God has written His Word. God’s Word is going to impact this world in a big way in the next couple of years. 2014 and 2015 are very important years. Believers should be warning (translated as shine) as proclaimed in Daniel as knowledge is increased by God’s Hand:

Daniel 12:3: And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Shine– H2094 za^har: zaw-har’: A primitive root; to gleam; figuratively to enlighten (by caution): – admonish, shine, teach, (give) warn (-ing).

Daniel 12:4: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

I pray more and more believers will understand the importance of reaching the 1,335th day in the year 2015 and also the importance of warning of God’s coming judgment on the fallen houses of God very soon. God will be magnified and Satan eventually will be removed. Further continued Bible Study can be found on the following online sites. Emails welcomed:
